In the News: BOE gets high facility marks
A facilities review team from the state recently commended the Hart County Board of Education for cleanliness, as well as the strategic objectives of the facilities.
The review was presented Monday at the regular board meeting.
Every five years the school board must adopt a new facilities plan for the school system. On Jan. 24, a facilities review team from the state visited Hart County to observe the facilities, the local facilities plan and to make recommendations for that plan.
The review team had nothing but positive comments for the board of education.
“The team observed that the facilities were well maintained and clean,” one comment from the review team said. “The team commends the superintendent and his staff for a very thorough and well-developed facilities plan and presentation.”
After some commentary, the board of education voted unanimously to adopt a resolution that approves of the new five-year local facilities plan.
