Parent engagement means the participation of parents in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities. 

When schools, families, and communities work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and enjoy school more. 

The Hart County Charter System's Parental Involvement Coordinator provides assistance and support to all Title I schools to ensure that parent engagement strategies and activities are being implemented to help improve and strengthen family engagement. 

All parents are invited to share ideas and suggestions to help the system, schools, and students reach academic achievement. Parents are also invited to participate in parental involvement activities throughout the year to provide input and make suggestions.
