    Virtual Learning only January 7-15

    • After consultation with numerous professionals, including local doctors and Department of Public Health representatives, the Hart County Charter System has decided to delay face-to-face instruction for all students.

      Staff members will report to work on Tuesday, January 5, as originally planned. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will pick up Chromebooks on Wednesday, January 6. Principals will provide specific times in their weekly callouts. Students in grades 3 through 12 will participate in virtual instruction from Thursday, January 7, through Friday, January 15.

      Parents of students in pre-K, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade will pick up work packets on Thursday, January 7. Again, principals will provide specific times in their weekly callouts. Work packets will carry students through Friday, January 15.

      A meal distribution schedule will be advertised within the next 24 hours. The school district hopes to resume face-to-face instruction on Monday, January 18. Please use this time to monitor your health and the health of your children. To the greatest extent possible, stay home and refrain from socializing with those that do not reside in your household. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding!

    COVID Protocols

    Please continue to monitor your child for the below signs of COVID. If your child has any of the below symptoms please keep them at home until symptom-free.

    Please contact your child's school with any questions rather than posting on social media. 

      • Families are asked to do daily temperature checks prior to leaving for school. Please keep your child at home if he/she has a temperature of 100.4 or higher. 
      • Masks are highly encouraged and should be worn when social distancing is not possible.
      • If you or your child are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please stay home and contact your child's school.
        • Fever of 100.4 or higher
        • Coughing or new cough
        • Shortness of breath
        • Loss of taste or smell
        • Chills
      • We anticipate more car riders at all schools.  Please be patient and follow the directions of staff members at all times.  Parents are not allowed out of their cars.
      • Busses may be delayed as we implement staggered dismissal procedures.

    For Virtual Students

    • For virtual learners, please email support@hart.k12.ga.us with all technology related questions. Please do not email the school. 
      • Each teacher should have communicated expectations for logging into your child's Virtual Classroom. If not, contact your child's school immediately.
      • Attendance will be taken each class period.  After the first week of school, middle and high schoolers will become responsible for this by checking-in through Infinite Campus. Directions are forthcoming.
      • Usernames and passwords have been updated for all students.  Usernames are student  numbers. Passwords are birthdates (mmddyyyy). (Example: 08142020)

    hide Due to the circumstances with Covid-19, the restrictions still in place under the Governor's Executive Order, and the continued need for social distancing, our annual Planning Week will not be held this year.  We want to remind parents that you can review South Hart's Title I documents on the school's website and provide input in an email to Dr. J.T.
