    STEAM

STEAM in the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math with meanginful inclusion of the Arts to solve problems. It allows students to use Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math as vehicles for demonstrating an understanding of the curriculum taught within the classroom. STEAM sees to assist students in making connections between content disciplines. It provides an opportunity for students to apply what they are learning. Students are provided exposure to how their learning can be applied and utilized outside of the classroom.

Vision for STEAM in Hart County:
The vision for STEAM in Hart County is to provide all students integrated academic instruction that develops critical thinking through project, problem, and place-based learning to produce college and career ready students.

Vision for STEAM at North Hart:
The vision for STEAM at NHES encompasses the system vision, while preparing students for middle school, high school, and beyond; STEAM will help provide a link for students at NHES. Students will eb able to make connections and grasp that what they are learning today (through STEAM) will have an impact on their future.

Our Focus: Preparation for the Future (College and Career Readiness)
NHES' core focus will be on preparing our students for the future. We want to expose our students to 21st Century skills for college and career readiness.

The STEAM movement in education has one goal – to provide today’s students with the skills they will need in the future.  A growing number of future jobs will be in the STEAM fields, and many of the jobs that will one day be available to our students have not even been created yet!  Therefore, it is necessary that we provide our students with a background in STEAM.  STEAM encourages critical thinking, creation, collaboration, and innovation. STEAM activities include guest speakers, field trips, hands-on science labs, engineering challenges, and technology integrated projects. You can see what our school is learning in STEAM by following us on Twitter @NorthHartSTEM or @North_Hart_Elem or on Facebook at North Hart Elementary Title I School.
