Vision for STEAM at North Hart:
The vision for STEAM at NHES encompasses the system vision, while preparing students for middle school, high school, and beyond; STEAM will help provide a link for students at NHES. Students will eb able to make connections and grasp that what they are learning today (through STEAM) will have an impact on their future.
Our Focus: Preparation for the Future (College and Career Readiness)
NHES' core focus will be on preparing our students for the future. We want to expose our students to 21st Century skills for college and career readiness.
The STEAM movement in education has one goal – to provide today’s students with the skills they will need in the future. A growing number of future jobs will be in the STEAM fields, and many of the jobs that will one day be available to our students have not even been created yet! Therefore, it is necessary that we provide our students with a background in STEAM. STEAM encourages critical thinking, creation, collaboration, and innovation. STEAM activities include guest speakers, field trips, hands-on science labs, engineering challenges, and technology integrated projects.
