Hello!  I am Mrs. Amy Smith and I teach 6th grade Social Studies.  I have been a teacher at Hart County Middle School for 29 years.  I have spent the majority of my career teaching Social Studies on the 7th grade level.  I have also taught Keyboarding and Word Processing.  I served as Instructional Technology teacher for approximately 5 years.

I am married and I have 2 adult sons, all three of my family members are Hart County graduates. I also have a 2 year old grandson and a grandaughter on the way!

We will be studying the continents of Europe, Australia, North America, focusing on Canada, Mexico, and Latin America this year.  In order for your student to be successful, he or she must take good notes in class and keep an organized notebook.

Daily grades will count 50 % of the grade.  Daily grades are bellringers, spiral reviews, and weekly quizzes.

Test grades will count 50 % of the grade.  Test grades consist of cumulative tests and projects.
