    RE: SCHEDULE CHANGES

    If you would like to request a schedule change, please fill out the form below. Please keep in mind of the following schedule change policies that have been put into place:

    - Only year long connection classes can be changed

    - A student may have to repeat a 9 week connection class more than once throughout the year

    - We do not take teacher requests or for what period to have a teacher

  • Chromebook pickup

    All Hart County Middle School virtual learners are required to use a Chromebook issued by HCMS. Pickup time will be on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

    Please bring a pen to write with as you will be required to complete a loaner user agreement and other forms.  If you have the ability to download these forms from the website, it will help complete the process much quicker.

    Parents will enter from Campbell Dr onto Burns St. into the HCMS gym parking lot and will exit onto Powell Dr. Please see the map below for instructions on entering the campus to pick up your child's Chromebook.  If you have questions about Chromebook pickups, please contact the school at 706-376-5431.

  • 2020-2021 Hart County Charter System Back to School Information

     

    On July 13, 2020, members of the Hart County Board of Education voted to adjust the 2020-2021 school calendar and made the following recommendations.

    1. Start date will be Monday, August 17, 2020
    2. Parents will be given the following options: In-person instruction or online learning. (except for pre-k students)
    3. Parents will have to make a decision by July 30, 2020 on the type of instruction students will receive. 
    4. The decision is final and will not be changed until school starts in January.  (Notify the school in December)
    5. New teacher orientation will be August 3 -4, 2020. 
    6. Pre-planning will be 8 days starting August 5-14, 2020.  
    7. Four days will be added to the end of the school year.  The last day of school for students will be Friday, June 4, 2021.

    Instructional Options

    School will begin with two instructional options: in-person and virtual. The in-person option will comply with guidelines set forth by the Governor and the Georgia Department of Education. Those interested in participating in the virtual option will be required to register.  For more information about the virtual instructional model, click here

    The registration deadline for the virtual option is July 30, 2020. A parent’s decision will be enforced for the entire first semester, which is scheduled to end on December 18, 2020. To register for virtual learning, complete the registration form using this link: https://forms.gle/16n8G2ZbUFHkmtvZ9   The deadline of July 30, 2020 will be strictly enforced so as to allow the district to plan accordingly.

    If your student is enrolled in Art for Connections, plaase see the suggested supply list.  Questions may be directed to Mrs. April Garner, april.garner@hart.k12.ga.us

    Suggested supplies include:  

    • Drawing/sketch pencils
