Elementary Academic Coach - Social Studies

The Hart County Charter System is accepting applications for the position of Elementary Academic Coach - Social Studies, for the 2016-2017 school year.  Must possess (or be eligible to receive) a valid teaching certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in the field of Early Childhood Education.  All applicants must apply on Teach Georgia

 

Elementary Social Studies Academic Coach

 

Proposed Duties/Responsibilities of Instructional Coaches:

  • Assist in system improvement planning and implementation process
  • Assist teachers in understanding/unpacking and prioritizing standards
  • Revise pacing guides
  • Provide assistance to teachers in classroom organization and management
  • Locate and share instructional resources
  • Collaborate with teachers throughout the lesson planning process
  • Model effective instructional strategies in classroom settings
  • Observe classroom lessons and provide non-evaluative feedback
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities related to job assignment
  • Provide ongoing professional learning to teachers and support staff
  • Support technology integration in the instructional program
  • Assist in the development of common formative and summative assessments
  • Support and monitor achievement teams in schools
  • Monitor implementation of system initiatives
  • Plan, conduct, implement, and evaluate system-wide activities related to instructional support
  • Aggregate and disaggregate data at both the school and system levels
  • Coordinate and moderate horizontal and vertical planning opportunities
  • Provide a link between school staff and district support staff in areas related to instruction and curriculum
  • Maintain knowledge of research-based teaching/learning strategies and materials
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Reports to: Associate Superintendent

Level of Education: Minimum of Master’s Degree

Certification Field: Early Childhood Education

Years of Teaching Experience: Minimum of 5 Years in an Elementary Setting

Contract: 190 Days, System-Based

Health Sciences Technology (High School)

Hart County Charter System is accepting applications for a high school Health Sciences Technology Education teacher for the 2016-2017 school year.  Ideal candidates will be familiar with the Career Pathways and GPS in the Health Science Career Cluster.  Provide students with skills and practical hands on experiences in the Health Care Sciences.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Georgia Teacher Certification or eligibility for certification issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in Healthcare Sciences.  Valid Registered Nurse License.

 

Preferences:

Demonstrated high school experience is preferred.  Experience as a HOSA Chapter Advisor.  Experience with the Certified Nursing Assistant Program.

School Bus Drivers

The Hart County Charter System is currently accepting applications for school bus drivers.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a commercial driver's license, class B-P with no air brake restrictions.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check. (The employee is responsible for the cost of $50.)
  • ​Must be able to pass state specified physical exam annually.
  • Must submit to random drug tests.

Substitute Cafeteria Assistants

The Hart County School Nutrition Department is currently taking applications for substitute cafeteria assistants. Applicants must be willing to work in all schools with various hours dependent on school needs. They must also be able to lift thirty pounds and stand for long periods of time. Pay is $8 per hour with possibility of full-time employment. Applications can be picked up at the School Nutrition Office @ 145 Cleveland Ave. or at www.hart.k12.ga.us. Background checks are required at a cost of $50.00 to applicant.
