TItle I Coordinator

The Hart County Charter System is accepting applications for a Title I Coordinator (49%).  All candidates must possess or be eligible for a valid teaching certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in the the field of Educational Leadership (L6 preferred).  Please read below for detailed qualifications and responsibilities.  Applicants must apply on Teach Georgia.

 

TITLE: Title I Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Associate Superintendent

SUPERVISES: Title I Class Size Reduction Teachers, Core Content Tutors Serving Title I

Schools, School & System Parental Involvement Coordinator(s), Flexible Learning Program

(FLP) Staff, School Improvement Instructional Coach(es) in Focus Schools

 

JOB FUNCTION: Provide instructional leadership for Title I Programs

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend GaDOE trainings related to Title I, A and Title I, School Improvement

Grant (SIG1003a)

• Coordinate the formulating and writing of Title I programs, including the organization and

writing of the Consolidated LEA Implementation Plan (CLIP)

• Coordinate the efforts to assure successful implementations of the approved programs

• Perform the needed administrative tasks for effective implementation of the Title I

programs

• Organize stakeholder involvement meetings related to Title I programs

• Provide technical guidance to Title I schools

• Coordinate with the Associate Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and

Superintendent in directing the work of the staff in carrying out the intent of the project

• Work with the principals in planning and implementing the program in each of the eligible

schools

• Develop budgets and approve expenditures related to Title I programs

• Work directly with the staff in carrying out the program in the schools

 • Assist in the development of School-wide Plans, Parental Involvement Plans (System &

School Level), Parent-Teacher-Student Compacts, Flexible Learning Program (FLP) Plans

• Observe Title I funded teachers and tutors (using informal means/tools)

• Monitor the effectiveness of Title I funded teachers and tutors

• Oversee FLP implementation within focus schools

• Identify needs and plan with central office administrative staff for the pre-service and in-

service sessions for the instructional staff

• Coordinate and conduct pre-service and in-service sessions for the staff

• Maintain in the Title I schools, a program of regular visitation for assurance of compliance

with the guidelines

• Identify and submit purchase orders for materials, teaching supplies, and equipment needed

for use in the programs

• Develop Title I procedures as outlined in the Department of Education’s (DOE) monitoring

document

• Maintain Title I compliance documents as outlined in DOE’s monitoring document

• Coordinate the orientation of new Title I staff members

• Coordinate the program for the non-public schools’ eligible students

• Coordinate the program in the neglected and delinquent institutions

• Cooperate with the principals and instructional staff in the schools for parent involvement

• Provide information regarding the effectiveness of the program

• Attend local staff meetings of administrative and supervisory personnel and attend area,

state, and national professional meetings upon approval

• Maintain regular attendance

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking

• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing

• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations

• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching

• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Georgia Teacher Certification

• Leadership Degree (L6 preferred)

• Teaching Experience in a Title I School (minimum of 5 years)

• Administrative Experience in a Title I School (preferred)

Substitute Cafeteria Assistants

The Hart County School Nutrition Department is currently taking applications for substitute cafeteria assistants. Applicants must be willing to work in all schools with various hours dependent on school needs. They must also be able to lift thirty pounds and stand for long periods of time. Pay is $8 per hour with possibility of full-time employment. Applications can be picked up at the School Nutrition Office @ 145 Cleveland Ave. or at www.hart.k12.ga.us. Background checks are required at a cost of $52.00 to applicant.
